About Huks Fluks

Welcome to Huks Fluks – Mediterranean Vibe in the Heart of Copenhagen

At Huks Fluks, food is more than just a meal – it’s a way to connect with others. It’s about enjoying life in good company, whether you drop by for lunch, dinner, or simply a glass of wine and some tapas. Inside, you will find colourful rooms that offer a relaxed atmosphere and an open fireplace crackling in the background. Outside, you can take a seat on our large terrace, surrounded by cobblestones and city life on the charming Gråbrødretorv square in the centre of Copenhagen.

Classic Bistro Dishes and Mediterranean Flavours

Our relaxed and welcoming vibe makes Huks Fluks the ideal place to enjoy great food and wine in the company of friends, family, or colleagues. We believe the best meals are those shared, which is why our menu features a mix of classic French bistro dishes and Spanish tapas, all inspired by the Mediterranean.

Whether you're here for lunch, dinner with wine, tapas and drinks, or celebrating a special occasion, we offer an environment where everyone feels at home.

Our Specialties

We are known for our Pata Negra hams, which hang from the restaurant's ceiling and are sliced to order. You can choose between the Cebo, aged for 24 months, or the Belotta, aged for 36 months.

Both options are available on their own and, of course, also as part of our charcuterie board. We also serve grilled Iberico pluma and incorporate the black-foot ham in various seasonal dishes.

Wine for Everyone

At Huks Fluks, we believe wine should be for everyone, and our wine list offers a wide selection of handpicked wines primarily from Europe, including both well-known favorites and hidden gems.

You don’t need to be a wine expert to enjoy our selection. Ask, taste, explore… and taste again. Whether you visit us for an after-work glass, a bottle to share, or a curated wine menu to accompany our dishes, we have something for every occasion.

Gråbrødretorv – A Charming Meeting Point

Huks Fluks is located on Gråbrødretorv, a historic and charming square named after the Franciscan monastery founded here in 1238 and its gray-clad monks, known as “gråbrødre” (the grey brothers). While little remains of the original monastery, which was dissolved in 1530, the square today remains a peaceful oasis amid the bustling city life.

We embrace the rich history and unique atmosphere of Gråbrødretorv and aim to offer our guests an experience that goes beyond the ordinary. Our respect for the area’s charm allows us to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where food, wine, and conversation truly come together.

Raw Walls and Mediterranean Charm

Our restaurant is housed in a beautiful yellow building dating back to 1729, which originally served as a mead brewery and honey merchant. While the building has been transformed, it retains much of its rustic charm and classic simplicity.

With raw walls, warm colors, wooden tables, and, of course, the long-aged Pata Negra hams hanging from the ceiling, you’ll feel transported to the Mediterranean, even though you’re in the heart of Copenhagen.

On the ground floor, you'll find our main dining area with tables for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings – as well as a bar with a view of the square. Upstairs, we have two beautifully decorated event rooms, perfect for all kinds of occasions.

On chilly days, we light the fireplace to keep the atmosphere cozy, while on warmer days, you can enjoy the lively atmosphere of Gråbrødretorv from our sunny, cobbled terrace.

Why Huks Fluks?

The name Huks Fluks captures everything we want to share: warmth, presence, and the joy of the moment. The word has Danish roots and means “right away” – a reminder that the best moments often happen spontaneously, without planning. But it also carries a deeper echo from Latin, where fluxus means “to flow” – just like the conversation, the wine, and the atmosphere that flows naturally here.

We've created a place where you can drop by huks fluks for a glass of wine – and end up staying for an entire evening of good food, sun on the terrace or fire in the fireplace, and a taste of Southern Europe in the heart of Gråbrødretorv.
